Art has been a constant and vital part of my entire life. Teaching and painting is a natural way for me to share my enthusiasm or art with others. Living at the base of Mt. Hood, my paintings reflect my love of mountains, snow, trees and wilderness. Strong color and bold shapes are the result of the winters I now spend in Arizona. I have
Art has been a constant and vital part of my entire life. Teaching and painting is a natural way for me to share my enthusiasm or art with others. Living at the base of Mt. Hood, my paintings reflect my love of mountains, snow, trees and wilderness. Strong color and bold shapes are the result of the winters I now spend in Arizona. I have received many awards for my work and am a Signature Member of several watercolor societies.

My Background
I have worked with watercolor for many, many years. Watercolor is fascinating because of the endless possibilities of layering, transparency, and the unusual effects of water with pigment. I also enjoy playing with acrylic and love what I am creating. The ease of building layers of colors and being able to quickly cover a large canvas is gratifying.

My eyes are always open to colors and shapes. I am constantly looking at textures and patterns in the world around me. I can't wait to get back to my studio and put what I have seen onto paper!
